Job Description:
This position will take a lead in developing training plans, oversee its rollout as well as be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, delivering and the facilitation of functional, technical and skills training in the various areas of Save the Children staff worldwide. Using training needs assessments, annual training plans and available resources, this position will identify training opportunities and design curriculum. It will also select vendors, negotiate contracts and manage outside consultants and service providers as appropriate. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Adult Education, Human Resources, Finance or related field with at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in training and development. Knowledge and experience of working with technology/systems would be a plus and working knowledge of international non-profit financial management practices would be an asset. Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum and training design, adult learning theories, and the measurement of training effectiveness also helpful.
