Summary: This position insures self-manufactured products meet or exceed customer\'s requirements. This position interfaces with manufacturing personnel to develop, implement and monitor systems to insure product quality. This position is responsible for directing the quality supervisors and their direct reports to insure the manufacturing operations are in control. The focus of this position is the reduction of variation and insuring acceptable outgoing quality levels. NOTES: Discretionary Bonus Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Manage four quality supervisors and their direct reports (quality auditors). Convert the current paper data collection methods into an electronic data system Implement measurement methods and gauging to assess product quality, which support electronic data acquisition. Document the product specifications in Quality Inspection Plans (QIP). Facilitate the movement to production operators being responsible for quality. Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC). Develop, measure and report manufacturing performance metrics. Develop and maintain departmental metrics to monitor the effectiveness of assigned responsibilities. Insures the manufacturing facilities are complaint to GMP. Audit the processes and procedures to insure compliance to world-class practices. Implement quality systems and processes to control the quality of the products. Insure that quality standards are fully defined and able to be met during production, resolve quality issues, analyze data, and maintain the integrity of the quality systems. Utilize measurement data to develop a continuous improvement quality action plan with a clear definition of objectives and associated actions with time lines. Resolve quality issues through Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control (DMAIC) six-sigma methods; and continuous improvement methodology. Lead and/or participate in scrap reduction activities. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor\'s degree four-year college or university. Minimum of 7 years experience, 5 years in management/supervisory role. Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and ERP systems is a must. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Certified Quality Engineer certification from ASQ preferred. Preferable experience in a blown film or cast film LDPE manufacturing environment.
