The Claims Manager is fully responsible for the operation of a unit of Claim Examiners assigned to the processing of all Long Term Disability Claims. This includes training, checking work and maintaining an effective workflow in the unit; redistributing work, coordinating, delegeting and following up on tasks as needed. The Manager is also responsible for exhibiting leadership and developing the administrative and technical capabilities of the staff. Responsible for ensuring that the work is processed within established time service objectives. Required Skills Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, have excellent organizational skills, possess leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team and be able to control several functions in a high volume, fast paced environment. Proficient in use of PC applications. Requires strong analytical, mathematical and administrative skills. Must be task-oriented. Required Experience Credit Insurance experience preferred!!! 5 to 10 years buiness experience with assignments in a supervisory role, knowledge of insurance operations and contract language. Ability to understand a variety of claim procedures, interpret policy provisions and understand medical terminology. Excellent investigative skills. Solid record of accomplishing objectives. Must have previous managment experience!!!!!
