Job Description:
We are excited about launching our new Youth Center-The Power House (Strasburg Area Community's Youth Center). Our vision is to have a safe, caring place for the youth of our community.We are in search of a dynamic,organized,caring, individual. This very important individual will be providing leadership in a Christian environment. The qualified candidate must be of Christian faith and demonstrate outstanding moral character capable of communicating basic Christian Fundamentals. Must have at least 2 yrs. of experience working with youth and community projects, or have a Bachelors degree in Adolescednt Psychology, Community Programming or related field. Must also have a High school diploma or GED.
Must have proven leadership, administrative, and organizational skills. Will be performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to the following: Overseeing the day-to-day programming of the center, providing direct supervision for all Youth Center employees and volunteers, coordinates volunteer programs with outside funding agencies. Coordinates w/ the Youth Center Board to ensure the safe, clean,welcoming environment at all times. The start date for this position is August 20, 2008. This is a p/t position approx. 10hrs. per week to start.
