Job Description:
Perform editorial-related functions involving the
assessment of literary properties and other source
materials for brand-driven entertainment
production projects, including editorial-related
functions entailing the analysis of literary
properties and source materials; the preparation of
editorial and coverage documents with respect to
literary properties and source materials; the
conducting of liaison activities with writers and
other creative personnel with respect to the editing
and creative development of script and production
materials; the preparation of analyses and reviews
with respect to current creative and marketing
trends; and the administrative coordination of
source material submissions and review processes.
Either U.S. or foreign Master’s degree or equivalent
in literature, journalism, philosophy or other liberal
arts discipline; or U.S. or foreign Bachelor’s degree
or equivalent in literature, journalism, philosophy
or other liberal arts discipline, and 5 years of
progressively responsible experience in the
occupation or in a research specialist, research
director, literary editor, consultant, management
consultant, executive assistant, operations
coordinator or related capacity for a creative talent
agency, publishing company or entertainment
production company, including experience entailing
responsibility for the assessment of literary
properties and other entertainment production
source materials.
