Develops Commercial Item Description drawings for the selection and configuration of the major system COTS components, including PCs, laptops, routers, switches, servers, printers and plotters Provides integration support for rack designs, parts lists and interconnection diagrams. Investigates alternate technologies or suppliers that reduce cost and improve quality and reliability and implement changes as approved. Sources, selects, and qualifies computer hardware, software and components used in the system design solution technology. Acts as technical interface between component and product suppliers and development engineers and determining new and alternate sources.
