Job Description:

The position is responsible for driving LSRs Molecular Biology B2B sales effort in North America (West Coast). That responsibility includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Duties Participate in setting molecular biology B2B annual sales plans together with goals and objectives geared towards plan achievement Actively drive client awareness of Thermo Fisher (LSR) products & capabilities to leverage synergistic B2B sales of molecular biology products Achieve revenue plans for molecular biology B2B sales by performing B2B account management duties within the assigned territory; Identify and engage new and existing accounts and associated key purchasing decision-makers in line with product & strategic focus of the business Partner with Market Development function to execute tactical plans for sales, pricing and promotion strategies Perform effective qualification of sales leads, gathering detailed target pricing & competitor information Negotiate pricing Partner with operations & customer services functions to ensure efficient & timely processing of quotations Process sample requests Develop high level relationships with key cross-functional decision makers Develop product knowledge and technical competency to enable identification and proposal of creative product solutions for clientsRefer customer complaints/product quality problems to the appropriate internal functions Participate in trade shows, vendor shows, and related activities as required. Minimum 10 years technical sales experience selling life science related products into associated markets Proven experience of working within and developing successful sales functions, including consistent sales target achievement and establishing long-term relationships with leading decision-makers in key accounts. Proven experience of the following selling skills: forecasting, assessing sales situations, selling consultatively, devising and executing sales strategies, account mapping, product positioning and responding to competition, negotiating contract terms and condition Ability to influence individuals that are not direct reports while still achieving results Desire to work & make decisions autonomously Excellent presentation, negotiation, PC, organizational, selling, and technical skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential Domestic travel: up to 60% as required Must reside on the West Coast and live in close proximity to a metropolitan airport.
