P895 Bioinformatics Software Manager Job Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Bioinformatics Position. We are looking for a software manager to join our Informatics Department to manage a group of 5-7 developers and test engineers who must work closely with users to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement applications. Software projects vary from R&D efforts to applications following the formal software development life cycle. The applications often wrap complex data into a user friendly package and/or streamline the users workflow process. Position Requirements: - BS or MS in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or equivalent - 5+ years software development experience - 3+ years management experience - Excellent verbal and written communication - Strong organizational and analytical skills Experience: - Experience with software architecture and design - Experience with the software development lifecycle - Experience with high performance programming and high throughput large volume data sets - Experience with automated testing - Experience with requirements gathering from the end user - Experience with streamlining process workflows - Familiarity with statistics or molecular biology concepts NOTE: Please include your salary range, resident status, current location, and contact number along with your resume.
