MEDIA PLANNER/SUPERVISOR We're an ad agency with lots of cool accounts, and we need someone who can rock media. Specifically, we mean: -Take responsibility of the overall service of assigned accounts and media teams. -Oversee and approve the development and execution of media strategy, communications plans and team/relationship building while maintaining cost controls. -Develop staff by managing performance, giving consistent feedback, creating opportunities and helping them work toward their goals. -Assign new accounts and ensure balance of workload among the team. -Lead the media planning process with proven knowledge of traditional planning and research tools and resources. -Ensure the integration of plans with other departments. -Negotiate annual contracts with vendors and foster strong relationships. -Participate in new business, special projects and administrative duties within the department. -Sell ideas to the account group and the client, with strong verbal and written presentation skills. -Use thorough knowledge of all media research and properly integrate it into the planning process (CMR, MRI, Simmons, Scarborough, Nielsen, Strata, etc.) -Use knowledge of key developments/trends/issues in media (e.g. population, demographic, lifestyle, media usage changes) to provide clients with added-value insight. -5-7+ years of relevant media expertise and in managing or developing a staff.
