Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of the monthly close for the Legal function including generation of monthly and quarterly management reporting. Review patent in progress portfolio to ensure timely accounting for status changes. Interface with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit documentation, testing and inquiries. Manage the quarterly forecast and annual planning process for Legal, including reviews with managing attorneys, Director of Finance and Administration and General Counsel. Interact with firms to obtain budgets and accrual estimates. Manage cash flow planning, forecasting and actual reporting for Legal. Compile worldwide Legal costs for presentation to Senior Management. Responsible for in-depth analysis practice group trends as well as any ad hoc support to the Director of Legal Finance and Legal Vice Presidents. Responsible for implementation of new Corporate-wide Finance planning tool. Quickly respond to numerous ad hoc queries from internal customers (including Senior Management).
