Job Description:
The Collection Supervisor assists the Operations Manager in managing the day to day collection and recovery operations for TLRA. TLRA is the collection service center owned by CHRISTUS Health, and provides accounts receivable and extended business office services to facilities internal and external to the System. Responsibilities for this position includes supervision of staff, monitoring work activities, call center functions, training, and performance reporting. The Collection Supervisor is expected to have advanced knowledge of all of TLRA\'s business lines and services, operational procedures and work functions, client service level agreements and expectations, and collection systems functionality. Direct interaction and communication is required with clients at all levels, including Directors, CFOs, and other Management Associates. The ability to communicate effectively with all types of people at all levels is critical. This position is expected to provide the leadership needed to keep the internal staff, suppliers, clients and management informed of departmental activities, needs, problems, recommended solutions, and administrative matters on a regular basis. The position also acts as a resource available for education and consultation to clients and associates. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years formal education or specialized training. Minimum 3 years managerial/supervisory experience in a healthcare environment. Thorough knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement. Solid knowledge of hospital business office functions.
