Manufacturing Engineer with screw machine experience. This position will be responsible for process improvements, cycle time reductions, fixture design, improving work center efficiencies and process troubleshooting. AutoCAD knowledge required. The ideal candidate should have a bachelors degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) and have experience with most of the following:

CNC Lathes
CNC Mills
Screw Machines: Acmes,Swiss, Brown & Sharpe

Daily Duties:
1. Process improvement
2. Process troubleshooting
3. Process controls
4. Institute Best Practices
5. Back up tool designer
6. Back up fixture designer
7. Creation & updating of layouts
8. Investigate & implement functional gages (with quality)
9. Design for manufacturability contact
10. Elimination of secondary operations
11. Assist with 5S improvements
Projects:
1. Investigate & implement Quick change tooling
2. Investigate & implement Datum point tooling
3. Investigate & implement Insert tooling (drills & forms)
4. Investigate & implement High pressure coolant pumps
5. Investigate & implement Quick change collets
6. Convert all Acmes to carbide tooling
7. Convert all Acmes to tool coatings
8. Kaizen implementation through all screw machine departments
