Requires an extensive knowledge of engineering, constructability and comprehensive construction experience acquired through completion of a four-year degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering program or Construction Management program and fifteen (15) years of planning, developing, and directing the design/construction of major projects or 19 years of related engineering and construction management experience. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of civil, electrical, mechanical and architectural disciplines as they relate to the full range of construction at cooperative facilities, as well as expertise in safety, contract and labor negotiations, supervision, scheduling, cost control and other pertinent aspects of construction management. The incumbent should also have project management experience and supervisory skills. A valid driver’s license is required. Professional engineering registration is preferred. Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, reading, lifting up to 25 pounds, using keyboard/computer; occasional crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights to 700 feet and pushing/pulling. Requires finger dexterity; good color vision, hearing, and speech; and the ability to perform close work.
