Job Description:

Provides clients and claim customer with an early case analysis on the facts, early resolution observations and legal assessment early on in the litigation proceedings. Assesses cases and develops litigation strategies or viable alternative resolution strategies that best protect client''s interest. Effectively reviews and authors pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs and memoranda. Effectively communicates and consults with clients, witnesses and claim personnel to properly assess & advise of facts, defenses, negotiation, and litigation strategies. Responds to clients, claim customers and courts in a professional & timely manner. Must possess the ability to effectively negotiate with adversaries to resolve litigation. Possesses superior trial skills in litigating cases in state and federal courts. Maintains caseloads and productivity standards set by Managing Counsel. Effectively utilizes office resources to assure smooth workflow and cost effectiveness. Must have superior legal writing skills in support of motion practice. Must understand and take ownership of assisting the claim customers in meeting National, regional and local expectations and key department business goals while maintaining the required ethical standards of protecting the insured client¿s best interest.
