Job Description:
In this position you will direct and formulate the functions and policies related to the quality assurance of construction contracts, including material, workmanship and fixed collateral equipment incorporated into the contract. Reviews with design engineers, design criteria for constructability and sound engineering practices. Arranges and conducts visits by contractor personnel to proposed construction sites, answers questions, and participates in pre- and post-award conferences. Interprets contract terms and requirements, originates correspondence on technical and legal matters pertaining to construction contracts, and investigates contract deficiencies and discrepancies. Conducts and directs field inspection of construction contracts in progress to check effectiveness of quality assurance and safety programs and to ensure compliance with specifications, permit requirements, and applicable codes.
