Job Description:

An IT consulting company seeks an Engineering Project Manager with 5 years of experience planning and implementing technology changes over large and complex networks. The candidate will provide project management leadership to a group of network engineers and other project managers primarily on the IPv6 project. Develop and maintain all project documentation, to include all project management artifacts, briefings, and position papers in accordance with the IRS’ Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) project management methodology. Will also be responsible for coordinating agency planning, documenting requirements, overseeing a complex testing environment and preparing impact analysis to determine the fiscal and operational impacts of conversion, risk analysis, procurement and implementation of IPv6 across the IRS. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams including hands-on creation of the following program management documentation in accordance with PMI or ELC standards: Charters, program management plans, configuration management plans, test plans, test cases and scenarios, and more. 5 years of experience using a variety of Project Management Tools/Applications is required which may include: MicroSoft Project, Project Server, Visio, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint. PMP is required. Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, and Microsoft VISIO skills are needed.
