Job Description:

A human resource company seeks a Director of Training with 10-15 years’ experience as a key business partner leading organizational development plans and strategies in a mid-large sized company and/or large functional business unit. The candidate will partner with operations, HR, and other leadership to develop/drive effective learning strategy, processes, and content throughout operations. Develop annual strategic training plan; create and manage training budget to support training objectives. Lead the design, development, and implementation of programs utilizing classroom programs, mentoring and coaching approaches. Partner with business leaders to leverage existing programs and to continuously improve programs, policies and strategies. Conduct needs assessment, develop an aligned curriculum, coordinate resources; assess and measure success. Focus on high-value coursework and deliver new curriculum that supports changing business objectives through innovative learning services, partnerships and leading edge technology. Responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of organization development systems and development processes for alignment and effectiveness on a company wide basis. Implement training infrastructure as it relates to processes, tracking, reporting, and implementation of new technologies to support the continual progress and development of employees. A four-year college or university degree required. A Master’s degree in related field or an MBA is preferred. Experience training in transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, or food service environment a plus. Experience/ competency in matrix management, cross-functional collaboration, change management, project management, establishing metrics for HR performance, and analysis required. Moderate travel will be required.
