Job Description:
 An alternative investment firm seeks a Business Analyst with 5-10 years of experience working at an investment or commercial bank, broker, hedge fund, software vendor or consultancy in connection with securities trading. The candidate will serve as a business analyst and project manager within the IT team. Act as a liaison between business unit (Operations, Trading or Corporate Services) and IT to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes in business processes and information systems. Design and deliver product, process and systems training to business units and IT. Work with clients and leverage industry documentation to identify functional gaps and document business requirements. Elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for and work with developers to ensure solutions fit requirements; including test cases. Work with Quality Assurance to iteratively test developed software to ensure that business requirements are met. Implement database solutions to solve various business requirements. Perform project cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments and contingency planning. Design and deliver product, process and systems training to business units and IT including security master setup, settlement instructions, accounting rules, trade capture, report usage, overall trade processing life-cycle. B.S or Master's degree in Business/Finance or Technical Field is required. Experience working with Equities or at least one of the following product groups within Fixed Income; Interest Rate Products, Credit Products, Structured Credit Products is required. A good general knowledge of pricing Fixed Income Derivative products, including how cash flows are determined, curve construction methodologies, inputs and outputs of models used for pricing is needed. Knowledge of mathematics underlying the models is required. Knowledge of Market Risk, including understanding the basic **Greeks** and their application to managing a portfolio is needed. Understanding of bank and/or broker/dealer fixed income operations and related regulatory environment is required.
