Job Requirements:
Works on problems of moderate and varied complexity where analysis of data may require adaptation of standardized practices or precedent. Acts independently to identify and select appropriate methodologies. Incumbent handles most problems and issues independently and determines course of action for ambiguous issues.
Normally receives minimal instructions on recurrent work assignments and only general instructions on new or more complex assignments. Decisions are made independently. Assigned multiple projects are generally reviewed after completion.
Contact is typically coordinative in nature and involves exchanging detailed information, planning and coordination of projects, schedules, etc. May deal with both internal and external contacts.
Demonstrates comprehensiveknowledge of engineering principles, of job-relatedfunctional area and of telecommunications technology.
B.S. degree in technical area, and 5-7 years job-related experience.
This position will be part of the Computer Incident Response Center (CIRC). The selected individual will provide oversight and reporting for all security incidents and will additionally do incident analysis and more effective identification of security breaches & weaknesses in the security fabric. They will prepare and send daily incident reports to management as well as act as the interface between the federal agency customer, the U.S. CERT and the CIRC. This individual will work closely with the threat and vulnerability teams to ensure the overall security posture of the customer’s network. Individual must either hold a current DOD Secret clearance or at the minimum be clearable to that level.
