Job Description:

It will provide logistics support for all locations, provide infrastructure improvements, TMS development and fleet management. Transportation spend is approaching $70 million annually. This position supports every aspect of transportation and capacity planning. Other duties include: Development and implementation of cost controls for freight spend. Analytical ability for optimization of all performance criteria for business unit for cost reductions and control. Requirements 4 year Bachelors degree from an accredited university. WMS and TMS knowledge and implementation needed. Strong operational experience is critical in organization of responsibilities. Ability to complete simulation studies for improvement in operational effeciencies and infrastructure. Proven experience in transportation management is required with a proven track record with a minimum of 15 years experience. Transportation experience should include LTL, flatbed, and company fleet and/or a 3PL logistics. Departmental budget and personnel management is required. A comprehensive knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations, safety management along with all aspects of freight management.
