Job Description:
Work is reviewed through periodic supervisory visits to inspection sites and through review of written reports and correspondence. Performs construction inspections that involve difficult and complex functions for construction operations, materials, and methods for electrical systems (secondary and primary high voltage power) in structures from one and two-story concrete, wood, steel buildings to large multi-story specialty buildings. Examines materials being incorporated in the work to determine that all such items comply with the terms outlined in the specifications and to determine acceptability of materials. Reports all injuries to the responsible project manager. Qualifications:Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule Engineering aid or technician or surveying technician performing work directly related to construction. Construction inspector or construction representative responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship, and insuring adherence to safety requirements. Supervisor of craftspersons, equipment operators, or mechanics engaged in construction work, provided that the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications.
