Job Description:
Functions: 1. Oversees and manages activities relating to cost control, estimating and scheduling from project proposal to project completion. 2. Coordinates, develops and maintains departmental and project controls budgets. 3. Meets with project controls staff to outline plans, designate personnel responsible for project phase, and establish guidelines and schedules. 4. Confers with subordinates, project personnel, provides advice and assistance in identifying and solving problems. 5. Recommends overall promotions and salary adjustments to management for approval. 6. Representative of Project controls with other departments, clients, project engineers and project management in conjunction with project production and to resolve conflicting priorities. 7. Facilitates communication between various departments of VECO regarding project-related issues. Other Job Responsibilities: 1. Establishes and maintains company methods and procedures. 2. Ensures that project cost reports, estimates and schedules are provided to project mangers and to management as required. 3. Oversees the supervision of staff, coordinates and plans training and evaluates staff. 4. Recruits or requests assignment of personnel according to staff plans and job requirements. 5. Develops and maintains department staffing requirements following company hiring and termination policies.
