This position directs and manages the construction management program for major Basin Electric capital and maintenance projects at new and existing generation, transmission and telecommunication facilities in a safe, consistent, professional manner to ensure compliance with safety, specifications, schedules, costs, quality control and within all environmental and permitting requirements. Directly or through supervision, this position also provides construction coordination services as assigned for various Basin Electric projects. Necessary Qualifications: Requires an extensive knowledge of engineering, constructability and comprehensive construction experience acquired through completion of a four-year degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering program or Construction Management program and fifteen (15) years of planning, developing, and directing the design/construction of major projects or 19 years of related engineering and construction management experience. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of civil, electrical, mechanical and architectural disciplines as they relate to the full range of construction at cooperative facilities, as well as expertise in safety, contract and labor negotiations, supervision, scheduling, cost control and other pertinent aspects of construction management.
