Job Description:
The management team is seeking a new Controller to provide leadership and best practices development for the finance department. This position will report to the CEO and the COO, and will be on the ground floor in setting the framework for the finance function going forward. You will be asked to: * Direct the accounting process to get books closed and reporting completed in a timely manner. * Develop, prepare, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and audits; support auditor and banking relationships. * Direct the development of accounting practices, systems, and controls to conform with GAAP. * Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost accounting; manage construction receivables recovery. * Develop accounting processes for complex manufacturing process to facilitate procurement, estimating, and inventory control. * Manage and grow the three-person accounting team. Qualified candidates will have: * Strong experience in manufacturing, especially cost accounting for custom manufacturing. * 5+ years progressive experience in accounting, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. * Recent experience at the Assistant Controller level or above * Demonstrated leadership and management skills. * Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work well independently and within a team. * Excellent analytical abilities; ability to use data to make quality decisions. * Systems selection and implementation skills; advanced computer skills. * Undergraduate degree in related field; CPA preferred. Compensation: Base salary will be in the $120K range, with stock options and additional incentive compensation based on milestones.
