Responsibilities include: Significant involvement in the quarterly forecast process, working closely with corporate planning, individual line planning, modeling area, and the expense analysis unit; prepare quarterly GAAP forecasts, based on available statutory projections; reconcile earnings for current forecast, with prior versions, identifying key variances; prepare analysis of key earnings drivers, comparing forecast to recent actual experience; work with staff and other modelers in use of modeling software to provide GAAP projections, to be used for business planning; work closely in the Product Development to develop parameters to be used for GAAP pricing; provide actual to expected comparison for major GAAP assumptions used for financial reporting, and plan projections on a quarterly basis; participate actively in Product Development process for new products, with particular focus on GAAP issues, and how they will impact GAAP models; work closely with.
