Job Description:
Reporting to the Publisher, the Advertising Director will be responsible for leading and managing the retail, classified, and majors/national sales departments. Our ideal candidate will have a B.A. degree in marketing or advertising and extensive newspaper experience in developing, implementing and executing successful sales strategies. We seek candidates who have had proven media sales and sales management successes in competitive newspaper markets, and who possess the creativity, experience, and ability to develop, motivate, and train sales people. Experience in developing strategic and operating plans preferred. Candidates must be open and able to operate in a non-structured, fast-moving culture.
