Job Description:
This position is part of the local management team for a $500m business, employs close to 1,000 employees.General duties include: Manage an information systems group and supporting staff to effectively meet business needs. Formulate and define system scope, objectives and standards, and devise or modify procedures to solve highly complex problems. Instruct, direct and check the work of systems and programming personnel providing direct support to users. Proactively seek, develop, and implement initiatives to cost-effectively achieve goals and ensure customer satisfaction. Manage such activities as the development and maintenance of user-based business management or engineering programs or systems, personal computer application programs and related databases to support business requirements. Direct related preparation of specifications, designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting of programs, and associated implementation, security, follow-up, and problem resolution. Required Skills: Bachelor\'s Degree in computer science or related field and 8-12 years of experience. Working at a top managerial level is mandatory (2 yrs minimum). At least 10 years of experience supervising and managing IS resources. Alternately, a special combination of education and experience. Must have IT/IS leadership experience.
