Key Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Background Security Investigation Residency in the U.S. for last 3 years (see explanation) Major Duties: You will serve as a Project Manager and will be responsible personally, as well as through an ad hoc team, for management of the development, production, and fielding phases of newly assigned complex CBP- wide project(s). Specifically, you will interface between the CBP users and vendors/manufacturers, to ensure that systems delivered and installed satisfy technical and logistic specifications, user requirements, costs, and scheduled goals established in the program plan. You will evaluate, review, and analyze complex high technology projects related to the enforcement mission of CBP, with special emphasis on non-intrusive detection and identification technology and CBP-unique requirements. You will coordinate, analyze, research, and provide technical support for the continued development, acquisition, logistics, and fielding of high tech large or complex inspection, surveillance and investigative systems and equipment. You will also serve as a Project Leader or subject matter expert and generally as the Contracting Officer\'s Technical Representative for specific large and complex multi-year projects such as: the multi-year, multi-million dollar Non-Intrusive Inspection X-Ray and Imaging projects, radiation and nuclear detection, security and tracking, and other specialized and unique technical projects. You will attend and chair meetings, interface with industry program managers, monitor contractor performance and schedule, prepare Acceptance Test Plans, coordinate on-site acceptance testing, ensure satisfactory and timely delivery to the field, and appropriate training for operators and maintenance personnel.
