Job Description:
Commitment, courtesy and teamwork Splice in new subdivisions Complete Power supply maintenance Complete pole transfers Complete Aerial and underground construction Work with contractors to ensure company specs are adhered to Proof newly released subdivisions Perform make ready on existing poles Prepare underground system plant for repairs; includes trenching, pot holing, backfill, and repair or replacement of conduits, poles, risers or pedestals Install rigid and semi rigid coaxial cable, includes pole line construction and underground installation of rigid and semi rigid coaxial cable in conduit or direct buried Ground plant, or place rod or wire to serve as ground for future installations Calculate signal losses from all cable lines and devices, using signal level meter; read and understand all plant blueprints Pre-wire single and multi family homes Perform other duties as requested by supervisor Preferred Qualifications: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge: Ability to accurately measure distance, using tapes or other measuring devices Accurately and completely complete new customer surveys Work Closely with installation to identify / determine if drops are in need of replacement Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder.
