Job Description:
Position requires a broad understanding of all Programs products, deep understanding of all local markets in the Division area(s), oversight of the portfolio, ability to work closely with Regional and Branch Offices and superior knowledge of competitor activity. The Select Customer Programs Underwriting Manager will have oversight of 7 underwriters. Responsibilities Agency Sales/Territory Management Builds strong, distinctive strategic partnerships with key agents and brokers, including superior relationships with the leadership (principals) of the associations in conjunction with Regional and Branch Offices. Develops and implements segment sales plans. Has keen insight into competitors strengths, weaknesses and strategies to leverage for profitable business and increased agency penetration. Includes specific Programs plans in sales planning meetings, agency sales plans, and plans and goals for individual Underwriters. People Leadership and Development Attracts, selects and develops high caliber talent from within or outside of the organization.
