Job Description:
Prequalifies and analyzes prospective customers personal lines coverage needs. Recommends coverage and prepares rating quotes and proposals to sell new accounts. Actively solicits increases in coverage or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at every service contact Submits applications via Internet to appropriate carriers, and follows up to ensure timely receipt of policies or quotations Informs clients of policy changes, exclusions of coverage and insurance coverage needs. Explains coverage and exclusions to clients. Uses service contact as opportunity to review and market appropriate coverage Maintains orderly electronic files and information, following agency standards Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, coverage, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current. EDUCATION/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED: · Knowledge of personal lines insurance products and usage · Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets · Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting products · Working knowledge of Applied or AMS agency management system procedures · Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills, both verbal and written. · Ability to communicate orally, and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately. · High school diploma · College education preferred ·
