This person will take on a leadership role in developing new business opportunities from his/her own relationships within the marketplace as well as from leads provided by IEG. Specifically, the Business Development will: Strategically Access Business Development Opportunities – Apply knowledge of the sponsorship industry and market trends to identify key prospects and obtain meetings with key decision makers. Make Things Happen -- Maintain a visible presence in the marketplace, get meetings with key decision makers, and develop meaningful business relationships with active sponsorship prospects. Provide Sales Leadership – Generate new business by creating connection points for IEG ensuring that IEG is well represented in new business pitches. Serve as an Industry Expert – Understand sponsorship issues within the context of the entire marketing mix and reasons for engaging IEG with each prospect. Achieve Financial Goals – Apply knowledge of IEG competitive differentiators in sales situations and be responsible for closing new business. Create/Extend Revenue Opportunities – Identify new and relevant product/service offerings and/or marketing opportunities for IEG.
