Manage and facilitate efficient and effective marketing processes to help communicate and reinforce the Canal Barge Company brand, provide market forecast information to assist in long-term asset planning, and assist in growing the business. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Research market conditions and forecasts, resulting in hard data for market analysis, trends, competitive data, identification of potential customers, etc. 2. Ensure that consistent sales and contract processes are established and followed. 3. Develop high quality CBC presentation to be used by sales/management personnel with strategic and target accounts to differentiate CBC, highlight the CBC customer value proposition, and motivate the customer to discuss all opportunities that match CBC capabilities. 4. Develop and manage a corporate contact database for external communications and important CBC events. 5. Manage the company T&E budget to ensure maximum benefit to CBC, and to continue to position the company as the premier marine transportation provider. 6. Develop plan in concert with profit center managers to identify cross selling opportunities. Lead this effort to ensure that customer targets are identified and the appropriate strategy and attendees are properly organized. 7. Work with profit-center managers to ensure CBC is adequately connected at the appropriate levels within strategic customer accounts.
