Job Description:
Work collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders to manage the definition, development, and delivery of projects within approved requirements, costs, and schedules. 2. Develop and oversee project work efforts for assigned resources to ensure that scope, quality, and timeliness of delivery is achieved. 3. Engage management to allocate necessary resources and identify resource conflicts or project interdependencies. Work with other project managers to mitigate potential short- and long-term conflicts. 4. Lead project communications and status reporting to stakeholders and management team following internal standards. 5. Manage project financials, risks and issue resolution. Document project activities and time tracking. 6. Create and monitor project performance metrics. 7. Adhere to company IT standards and procedures. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 1. A minimum of one (1) to seven plus (7+) years of progressively responsible project management experience, depending upon job level. 2. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required. 3. A reputation for impeccable ethics and integrity as well as a track record of success in project management. 4. Ability to function as a strategic partner within a team. 5. Experience in the life insurance industry or information technology is a plus. 6. PMP certificate preferred, but not required. 7. Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
