This will minimize the cost of operating and owning technology, and improve the operational effectiveness of existing systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Participates in the planning and scheduling of application programming projects and allocating resources to those projects. Includes coordinating the activities with other IT managers and client departmental management team.2. Manages the integration of vendor applications and/or consulting resources into existing applications and/or resources.3. Manages area to defined operational metrics. Reports activity and progress to management regarding actual versus planned metrics, team utilization, delivery and quality commitments, and budget activities of the applications programming area.4. Acts as liaison between clients and applications area regarding system requirements and capabilities.5. Identifies issues and risks and resolves and/or escalates them to senior management for resolution.6. Participates in the identification and selection of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives.May perform additional duties as assigned. Reporting RelationshipTypically Director or aboveSkills, Knowledge & Abilities 1. Solid knowledge of the system development life cycle, system and application program development and integration of technological alternatives. 2. Solid knowledge of client area's functions and systems. 3.
