Software Development Manager We are in search of a dynamic Senior Software Developer experienced in managing software projects, schedules, deliverables and a team of driven developers. Our client is growing rapidly and this is an expansion position!The ideal candidate will walk in the door able to:* Manage projects in concert with the VP of IT PM (i.e. execute management\'s visions).* Manage multiple parallel development projects.* Manage a team of mixed-senior to junior-developers.* Establish policies and procedures to promote best practices and uniform development.* Consult with customer team members and apply analytical processes to plan, design, and implement new and improved information systems to meet their business requirements.* Work with other hardware and software departments to ensure that planned development meshes well with their efforts.Prior hands-on experience must include:* Development of web based applications using J2EE standards (JSP, JSF, EBJ, Hibernate).* Use of Unified Modeling Language (UML).* Use of development tools such as Rational and Eclipse.* Use of object oriented development methodologies such as RUP and Agile.* IBM Websphere Application/Process/Portal Server.Background requirements include:* A Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT or related technical field.* 3+ years experience managing or leading teams developing complex web based applications.* Total of 8 years industry experience; 5+ years in a development capacity.Desired traits include:* Excellent written and verbal communications skills to communicate effectively and effortlessly with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.* Strategic thinking; ability to see the big picture.* Ability to motivate and guide team members.
