Job Description:
 An award winning consulting engineering firm offering public and private clients multidiscipline expertise and services seeks a Senior Project Manager with 10-15 years of professional experience. The position will support all civil engineering/infrastructure activities as needed. The candidate will be responsible for building a transportation engineering capability in the Houston office. The selected individual will have experience with developing Major Investment Studies, feasibility studies, geometric layouts, schematic designs, and PS&E for minor and major roadways and highways, complex highways, multi-level interchanges and exotic bridge layouts, and major freeway interchanges and direct connectors. The ideal candidate will also be able to prepare construction cost estimates using TxDOT estimating practices, procedures, and typical unit costs. The position is also expected to support Technical Advisor contracts with developers/concessionaires/lenders during the proposal phase and through financial close. These activities involve providing independent opinions in prescribed formats during relatively short engagements. The candidate should have B.S. in civil engineering. Should be a Texas registered Professional Engineer. TxDOT Pre-Certifications desired. The individual must also have knowledge of other highway/roadway disciplines such as signing, and pavement marking, hydrology, hydraulics and be able to develop plans to state adopted standards. The individual must have a working knowledge of TxDOT design criteria, standards, practices, and procedures and be able to apply this knowledge to produce deliverables such as geometric designs, layouts and schematics, engineering reports, and preparing PS&E documents such as typical sections, roadway plans and profiles, drainage area maps, scour analyses, drainage plan and profiles, traffic control plans, construction staging plans, utility plans, cross sections, quantity calculation sheets, and specifications. Knowledgeable and skilled with the use of CAD systems: Microstation and other highway software systems. Desired competencies/skills: Geopak, HEC-RAS, WinStorm and other highway design software systems.
