This is a full-time temporary position on the Habitat- construction site. We are looking for interns during the months of June, July and August. Responsibilities: -Lead volunteers and future Habitat- Atlantic Avenue homeowners in the construction of affordable homes in Ocean Hill\Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY -Assist in the development of the weekly scope of work for volunteers with direction from Construction Supervisors -Coordinate the ordering and delivery of tools and materials to the site with construction supervisor -Facilitate tool maintenance and maintain on site tool inventory system -Aide in all aspects of construction of homes Qualifications: -College students or recent College graduate -Energetic attitude -Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills -Ability to use critical thinking skills to evaluate situations and projects effectively -Good sense of humor -Previous experience with Habitat a plus -Construction experience a plus
