Assist Construction Manager in the duties/processes listed below: - Hiring, managing and terminating Construction personnel - Oversee all field operations - Oversee all plan ordering and permitting - Develop department overhead budget - Develop and implement incentive programs - Develop and maintain trade base - Interface with all municipal governing bodies, public utilities and industry associations - Oversee the field operation, production times and insure quality control so that the homes are ready for homeowner orientations and occupancy - Set build times on each plan and provide schedules to meet the build times - Redline plans on first time build at each subdivision - Final approval of all redlined print changes - Review vendor surveys each month before they are sent out - Visit job sites periodically to spot check quality and policy enforcement - Review survey cards weekly for construction and customer service - Attend meetings with subcontractors to discuss problems as they arise Supervisory Responsibilities Manages 2 or more subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 5-20+ employees in the Construction Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization`s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
