Job Description:
Examples of Work Performed 1. Updates daily construction reports & progress report logs 2. Maintains the FCA Safety Directors logs and compiles safety report 3. Maintains phone and purchase order logs 4. Marks requests for information on Superintendents plans & Sub Sets in site trailer 5. Verifies and coordinates layouts, elevations, etc 6. Inspects subcontractors work, notifies Project Manager of non-conformance 7. Issues notification of violation to subcontractors as directed by Project Manager 8. Creates and maintains a look-ahead schedule for each trade, coordinating all trades for sequence 9. Coordinates inspections for all trades 10. Creates and supports a positive relationship with the local building officials and inspections departments 11. Coordinates all special inspections and testing 12. Maintains rigid safety standards as directed by FCA guidelines 13. Ensures that all safety violations are documented and discussed with subcontractors 14. Conducts weekly toolbox safety meeting for FCA staff 15. Assists with Project Manager in conducting jobsite progress meetings 16. Assists the Project Manager with project closeout 17. Completes project punch list as directed by Project Manager 18. Trains, develops, and assesses staff to ensure continuous growth through orientations, direction, and feedback 19. Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and training new staff 20. Makes hiring recommendations subject to manager approval 21. Provides effective performance feedback on a daily basis 22. Makes recommendations on promotions and terminations of staff, takes appropriate action subject to manager review and approval Qualifications Minimum Qualifications · Education: Two-year college degree in related field Four-year college degree in related field preferred · Experience: Six years commercial construction experience Two years Site Superintendent experience ·
