Job Description:
Develop account strategies and identify key business opportunities that result in incremental revenue. Further develop relationships with key account personnel in an effort to grow business. - New Business Development - Generate new business by maximizing existing client relationships and actively seeking new opportunities with new customers. - Focus on selling air/sea customs brokerage and/or forwarding or consulting services. - Sell international freight services to existing clients in an assigned territory - Responsible for developing strong client relationships, identifying key account personnel and decision makers, communicating effectively with clients and internal team members, and focus on immediate and long-term business opportunities with the ability to close sales and secure business. In addition to identifying problems, develop and present solutions and options to satisfy customers- needs. - Identify market trends, evaluate competitive information, customer requirements and report solutions to Sr. Management staff. - Build and manage a territory plan - Timely response to client RFI/RFPs - Conduct thorough needs assessment of prospects import and export requirements - Negotiate, close and monitor all new client business - Teamwork - Must work professionally and effectively with key sales and operations staff in order to achieve target revenue goals. Work with marketing, operations and other departments to determine appropriate pricing and/or solutions -
