Job Description:
This position will be based out of Irvine, CA and will report directly to the CEO of Commercial Lending. Key Responsibilities * Contribute and help detail credit risk for any new CRE products being developed* Develop and enforce all credit risk lending policies and guidelines* Monitoring key risk metrics driving successful executions* Self confident, professional, proven management experience, knowledgeable in a P&L environment with expense management.* Demonstrated track record of managing a portfolio through a business cycle with an acceptable credit quality level* Experience with analytic systems, and have worked closely with risk management & credit analysts* Must have strong understanding of credit risk fundamentals, Forecasting; Model Development, and other analytical risk tools * Ability to calculate the Allowance for Loan and Lease Loss Reserve ) and making recommendations to executive management for monthly allocations to the Loss Loan Reserve. * Lead development of new underwriting guidelines for newly introduced products* Develop and enforce all underwriting policies and guidelines in originated transactions.* Monitoring underwriting guidelines and providing exception criteria for any loans that fall outside our guidelines* Established exception underwriting processes * Work with sales teams regarding loan structuring, collateral valuations and any exceptions to our standard guidelines. Requirements Key Skills Needed for Success:Required* Bachelor\'s degree from a four-year college or university.* 5+ years of increasingly responsible experience in commercial real estate lending, with specific experience in credit and underwriting.* Proven record of accomplishments in current and previous positions and outside endeavors.*
