Job Description: Position Description
Eriksen Translations is seeking a Production Manager who will be responsible for the production of translation and localization projects for clients in the public and private sectors. The Production Manager supervises project managers, coordinators, and translators by setting goals, monitoring their work and evaluating results to ensure that departmental/company objectives and goals are met. The Production Manager reports directly to the President/CEO and is an integral part of the management team. Your duties and responsibilities are divided as follows:
Production Management
*Overall responsible for operational procedures and performance *Work closely with senior management, sales, and production teams to oversee the production of translation and localization projects *Manage production and determine job priorities in order to achieve maximum utilization of equipment and personnel, develop procedures, establish quality standards, and ensure that quality standards are met *Proactively refine, implement, and document quality assurance standards, processes, and controls *Supervise and provide leadership to project managers and coordinators, technical, and support staff in various locations *Facilitate regular production staff meetings *Measure and evaluate performance of production team *Assist Client Services and Account Managers with creative input during pre-production meetings with clients *Track and update all relevant project management information *Represent Eriksen at client meetings, seminars, and other events
Job Requirements: Requirements
*Bachelor’s Degree and at least four years experience in the localization industry *Prior experience supervising at least 15 staff members, in the U.S. and abroad *Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment
