Job Description:
Arranges and conducts visits by contractor personnel. Interprets contract terms and requirements. Conducts and directs field inspection of construction contracts in progress. Performs technical reviews of contractor submittals. Prepares comprehensive technical cost estimates of construction changes. Responsible for the administration, quality assurance and safety programs of all construction contracts assigned. Participates in final inspection of completed contracts prior to acceptance by the government. Major Duties: In this position you will oversee, at the field level, the execution of the construction contract work assigned to the field office. Directs and formulates the functions and policies related to the quality assurance of construction contracts, including material, workmanship and fixed collateral equipment incorporated into the contract. Reviews with design engineers, design criteria for constructability and sound engineering practices. Arranges and conducts visits by contractor personnel. Interprets contract terms and requirements. Conducts and directs field inspection of construction contracts in progress. Performs technical reviews of contractor submittals. Prepares comprehensive technical cost estimates of construction changes. Responsible for the administration, quality assurance and safety programs of all construction contracts assigned.
