Job Description:
Builds strategic cross-functional and cross-organizational partnerships to resolve problems, improve processes or achieve goals. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding high-dollar negotiations, processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Develops and implements integrated departmental plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved. Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities of direct reports. Promotes employee recognition and builds a departmental culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce. Manages all aspects of supplier/subcontractor relationship and performance throughout all contract phases including infrastructure Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction. Initiates and oversees process improvement teams and identifies opportunities to improve departmental processes. Consistently and proactively gives timely, appropriate feedback on performance; reinforces efforts and progress. Consistently and proactively establishes good interpersonal relationships by helping fellow K level managers, people throughout the organization and external customers feel valued, appreciated, and included in discussions. Communication Consistently and proactively clarifies purpose and importance; stresses major points; follows a logical sequence. Consistently and proactively generates ideas for solutions; analyzes the effect or impact of each solution; selects appropriate solutions. Consistently and proactively tests solutions; gathers feedback from fellow K level managers, other people throughout the organization and external customers; on effectiveness; reviews impact on baseline measures; modifies solutions as appropriate to ensure effectiveness.
