The commodity manager will execute Supply Management strategies that will assure the lowest cost and continuous supply of goods or services related to MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) both domestically and through LCCS to plant operations. A major responsibility of this position is to deliver productivity hard savings. The candidate must have high level of energy, sense of urgency and assertiveness. Candidate must also be able to gain alignment from internal customers and supports from internal resources by influencing skills. - Identify productivity saving projects in the assigned commodity category, including global projects that will collaborate with commodity managers globally. - Build up internal alignment and establish cross functional teams. - Define, execute sourcing strategies and conclude agreements/contracts with suppliers - Carry out implementation, drive compliance and delivery result Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: BS degree or higher 5 years strategic sourcing experience with Fortune 500 companies in MRO related areas. For example: Equipment, Machinery - Electrical or mechanical. PVF or other distributor’s good Electricals Manufacturing plant maintenance services Engineering Services Strong negotiation skills Strong communication skills Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology Low Cost Country Sourcing Experience Technical Background in Engineering.
