Job Description:
As the Director of Nursing you will be responsible for the coordination of daily patient care and accountability for determining and maintaining standards of nursing practice within our freestanding rehabilitation hospital. Responsibilities will also include strategic planning, management of personnel and material resources, as well as staff development and evaluation. In addition you will be responsible for maintaining effective collaborative relationships with the Medical Director, the Director of Clinical Services, third party payors, case managers and other applicable referral sources while participating in the marketing efforts as a member of the management team. You will also provide leadership for professional staff development, accreditation by JCAHO and CARF and other outside agencies. Requirements are a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, licensure to practice in the state of employment. 2-5 years of progressive management experience in an inpatient/LTAC hospital setting necessary.
