Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer this position has Twenty four (24) hour responsibility and accountability for the efficient, effective operations of all aspects of Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, and Pediatrics Units. This includes staff competency, departmental standards, and budgetary process. Supervises department personnel. Able to provide competent care for patients from infancy through adolescence. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a Masters Degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum 3 years experience at supervisory level; minimum 5 years clinical experience in labor and delivery. Current California Registered Nurse license required. Current BCLS (CPR) and NRP or PALS certificate required. Excellent communications skills, verbal and written. Good working knowledge of maternal child health procedures and interventions. Good understanding and application of Nursing process. ACLS required within 90 days of hire date.
