The HR Manager will: Direct all Human Resource activities at the plant level including labor relations, staffing, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee records, and departmental budget Ensure the management of all plant HR related systems and procedures Develop HR strategies in the areas of staffing development and succession planning that drive Cary toward World Class in terms of organizational structure Lead overall collective bargaining agreement negotiation efforts Provide HR leadership in the form of focused efforts in developing and maintaining a strong labor, employee and management relationship that promotes understanding, minimizes conflict and drives positive morale Serve as advisor to Plant Managers on all people issues Responsible for safety, training and worker compensation. With 2007 sales of nearly $12 billion. Position Requirements HS Diploma and A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience with broadened HR experience, OR Bachelors Degree in Human Resources and A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience with broadened HR experience. Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a manager of people. Knowledge of HR practices/procedures Ability to create and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules/shifts, and time constraints. Strong problem solving, negotiating and decision making skills. Large-scale project management experience. Strong influence & collaboration skills. PREFERRED: Plant/Manufacturing experience Experience in a unionized environment Grievance resolution experience.
