MBA or Bachelors Degree and 3 years experience in Materials Requirements Planning, Enterprise Resource Planning, or Production Control, or 7 years combination education and experience in Materials Requirements Planning, Enterprise Resource Planning, or Production Control. Must have excellent analytical, planning and communication skills. Primary Responsibilities 1. Customer Point of Contact: Provide a single point of contact for customers. Coordinate answers to many routine questions and monitor customer sensitive parts, know product or program status. 2. Champion resolution of issues: Work with manufacturing management to identify, plan, coordinate, schedule and report issues which need to be resolved to meet schedule. Focus on long term, multi-discipline issues to rid the factory of problems which hamper delivery to schedule. 3. Coordinate introduction of start up and product changes: Assist material and manufacturing management coordinate the cross functional areas which will impede meeting schedule. Help to develop and coordinate a realistic schedule that can be supported by the supply chain. 4. Inform material and manufacturing management of issues which will impede schedule delivery: Provide material and manufacturing management with unbiased information on key issues which will impact delivery of programs or products on schedule. 5. Participate in Resource Planning Team: Bring customer needs and manufacturing issues as input to the resource planning team. Help identify what short term issues will constrain schedule delivery, and help drive solutions to mitigate. Notify customer of changes in delivery position if constrains cannot be resolved. Other Desired Qualities 1. A broad knowledge of how organizations work: Must be able to quickly determine how decisions are made, and who affects those decisions, and become a champion for clear supply chain solutions. Learn which functional areas impact manufacturing’s ability to meet schedule, what their responsibilities are, who the key players are, and how to develop relationships. Work within established processes while understanding the hidden factory. 2. Must have excellent communication skills: Will need to be able to comfortably work and communicate with persons at all levels of the organizations. Astute and bright, not afraid to speak up.
